Bridgend Borough Councillor Discovered Moonlighting

A special report from Chief Editor, Jonathan David Abraham

Bridgend County Borough Councillor and former Town Mayor, the right honourable Huw Erasmus Morris, has been reported to the Chief Executive for allegedly breaking BCBC rules by moonlighting for another Council during December of last year.

Several gentlemen of a professional standing were enjoying one of their regular architectural tours of Bath on December 8th when they were approached by a ridiculously attired Town Crier extolling the virtues of the famous City.

The gentlemen, all regulars of the Five Bells Inn, instantly recognised the preposterous individual as Councillor Huw Morris. Angry but quick thinking BCBC Council Tax payer, Mike Myles, took a photograph of Councillor Morris's moonlighting activities whilst supposedly on BCBC time, as evidence.

Councillor Morris, suddenly realising he had been rumbled, menacingly approached Mr Myles to remonstrate. Mr Myles, however, was too fast and made good his escape. He remained out of harms way in the nearby Sam Bowser Inn for the rest of the day.

On his return to Bridgend, Mr Myles still in a state of high enragement, immediately contacted the Chief Executive of the BCBC and handed over his dossier of evidence for consideration by the Council. Councillor Morris has been unavailable for comment.

STOP PRESS

An anonymous tipster has provided the Bugle with evidence that Councillor Morris spent Christmas week working as Father Christmas in the Grotto of a top peoples store in Hereford.
