'Carvers' set for Autumn Launch A special report from Chief Editor, Jonathan David Abraham David Windsor Carver has got a plan. Invigorated by the phenomenal summer success of Magners cider he has decided to launch his own brand of alcoholic apple juice called simply 'Carvers'. |

Plums An earlier venture to produce Welsh Slivovitz sensationally failed when David's magnificent plums were deemed too strong and flavoursome to manufacture the sophisticated tipple and it was withdrawn shortly after its launch in the Spring of 2003. Drinkers Unperturbed, he is determined that his fine Welsh cider brewed with apples from wife Wendy's South Wales orchard will strike the right balance with discerning drinkers across Wales and the United Kingdom. Experts have already predicted a roaring success after a series of successful local tastings. David is quietly confident that 'Carvers' will soon become the UK's number one premium cider. |

STOP PRESS The launch of 'Carvers' has been sensationally delayed by furious wife Wendy who has refused to sanction the use of her Bramley's. When asked why she had scuppered his plan David said "Wendy told me not to be so silly". Mrs Carver has also vehemently denied rumours that 'Aunty Wendy's Apple Pies' were about to hit local supermarket shelves. |
