The Kinross Bus
(To the tune of "The Deadwood Stage")

Lyrics: Jonathan Abraham. Music: Sammy Fain.

Oh the Kinross bus is trundling on down the hill,
At Littlewood's shop we're going to have our fill,
Sausage and eggs and bacon and beans,
Its a wonderful day, wonderful day, wonderful day!
The gentlemen set off for a brisk canal walk,
Bob struggles to breathe, in fact he can hardly talk,
Have you got a hip flask, or an oxygen mask?
Will he last the day, he last the day, will he last the day?
We pop into the Pulteney for a pint and a bite,
Then Alun goes and gets us into a fight,
Feelings run high, have they got Sky?
Oh quick run away, quick run away, quick run away!
Mid-afternoon we pop into the Star,
Alun this time I think you've gone too far,
What's in my glass? I don't think its Bass,
I'll pour it away, pour it away, pour it away!
Undeterred we drink on for quite a bit,
Dai Rees lectures to us with delightful consummate wit,
Pendulum swings, one of those linear things,
Its swinging away, swinging away, swinging away.
Pig 'n' Whistle at five and Bob is not about,
We stomp round Bath to find him, "Millar!" we shout,
"Why all the fuss, I've been sat on the bus",
Please take him away, take him away, take him away!
We set off for Bridgend with George at the wheel,
A stop at Magor or this bus will get wet I feel,
To the bogs for a piss, Millar gives it a miss,
Now he's spoilt the day, he's spoilt the day, Bob's spoilt the day!
Fourteen back at the Bells we've never lost one yet,
"Want to go again?" Alun asks, we shout "YOU BET",
"We want to go soon, on the 7th of June",
For a wonderful day, wonderful day, wonderful day!
