Local actor, Robert Hurley carried off Hollywood's coveted prize in Las Vegas last night. Studded In front of a star-studded audience, main guest, Steven Spielberg, presented him with the Oscar for Best Actor, 2002. Rowe In previous years, he has narrowly failed to win the Ultimate Prize, being nominated for 'Saving Private Rowe', 'The Golden Mile' and 'Sleepless in the Seabank'. |

The film, 'Cast Away in Park Woods', was masterfully directed by Hurley. Watts Elton John collected the Oscar for Best Musical Score, 'RocketWatts', recorded at the world acclaimed 'Ewenny Road' recording studio, Bridgend. STOP PRESS Rob Hurley has announced his engagement to actress Conchita Nilson, for whom there is a local connection. Her aunt once regularly slept with a piano tuner from Bryncethin. |
