Bridgend's Body Building Champion!

Until last weekend few Bridgend folk were aware of a local undertaker's secret passion for body building.
Adrian Hugh Gabriel Oliver, 54, has long been known as Bridgend's favourite undertaker but few would have guessed that his life-long, clandestine passion would lead to him being crowned 'The British Undertakers' Body Builder of the Year, 2019' in the recent final held in Chalfont-St-Giles.
Stiff
Adrian faced stiff competition, especially from last year's winner, Enoch Battersby from Holmfirth, but his impressive physique and poses proved enough for him to be proudly crowned as Champion.
Bulging
In his characteristically soft-spoken manner, Adrian explained that he believed it was his bulging biceps that had proved the defining difference between himself and Mr Battersby. "Enoch was excellent" said Adrian "but in the end it was my bulges that just pipped him to the post".
Celebrated
Adrian celebrated his new honour at a local hostelry and is pictured showing off his impressive torso to the delighted regulars.
