Ian Williams is Back: Fighting Nemo

A special report from Chief Editor, Jonathan David Abraham

Additional reporting by Theatre and Cinema critic Michael Myles

Ian Tiberius Williams is back and this time its personal. Late last year the forty-three year-old Welsh actor sensationally turned down the opportunity to reprise John Wayne's leading role as Sean Thornton in the Hollywood remake of the 1952 Oscar-winning classic 'The Quiet Man'. He was quoted at the time as being "retired to devote more time to my diving hobby". This week however he stunned Hollywood's Glitterati by accepting the lead role in a new multi-million dollar sequel, 'Fighting Nemo'.

Thumped

Williams, virtualy unknown two years ago, sprung to prominence in 2002 when he landed the part of James Bond in the franchise's 39th outing, The Spy Who Thumped Me.

Native

He hit the headlines again last year after discovering a hoard of buried treasure hidden in a well in his native Bridgend.

Blockbuster

Hollywood Producer Barbara Brocolli is said to be hopeful that her ex-leading man will now also agree to reprise his role as Bond for the fortieth blockbuster, Dai Another Day.

STOP PRESS

Wildlife lover Ian Tiberius Williams has sensationally stormed off the Fighting Nemo set after discovering that his combatant in the film would not be Captain Nemo of the Nautilus but a shoal of juvenile Clown Fish (pictured right).
